SWPC issued a Conditional Award to Engie for the Jubail 3B SWRO Project. The plant is a fully contracted IWP producing 125 MIDD of potable water on the coast of the Persian Gulf, including a 570,000 m3 potable water storage facility and 59 km 380 kV transmission lines and substation.
It is expected the CEO will be based in the Eastern Province of KSA, with regular travel within KSA and occasional travel to Dubai or elsewhere in GCC.
Objective The CEO is responsible for : Managing the Company including personnel recruitment, procedures, and facilities in agreement with the Board of Directors and the long-term business plan. Representing the Company and conducting relationships with authorities, regulatory agencies, lenders, banks, and professional organizations. Following up on the proper execution of commercial and financial contracts and resolving any issues that may arise. Ensuring necessary permits and consents are obtained and maintained. Keeping the Company informed of applicable changes in law and regulations. Promoting a safe company culture. Envisaging, seeking approval, and implementing necessary steps of a mid to long-term business plan. Reporting Line The CEO has a primary statutory reporting line to the Company's Board of Directors and will closely interact with the Company's shareholders.
Job Responsibilities Conduct and coordinate high-level interfaces with authorities, banks, and clients. Prepare medium and long-term budget forecasts and monitor budget variances. Foster good industrial relations at the site and with local communities. Ensure preparedness for emergency incidents and coordinate with mutual aid partners. Ensure that insurance coverage and policies are in place and claims procedures are followed. Set objectives for the team, evaluate personnel, and implement incentive schemes approved by the Board of Directors. Report the health of the Company to the Board of Directors and shareholders as required. Act as an ambassador for cultural change focused on continuous improvement. Submit the annual operating budget for approval. Ensure operation within approved budgetary limits. Approve expenses incurred by subordinates in accordance with established policies. Manage Human Resources of the Company. Degree / Experience Minimum of 15 years in a senior position within the international power/energy sector. Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a strong background in the energy sector. Relevant technological experience in areas such as process plants, water production, etc. Experience in relationship/contract management and board meeting management. MBA or equivalent is a plus. Specific Knowledge / Skills Fluent in written & spoken English; basic proficiency in Arabic is a plus. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, leadership, and management skills. Strong financial and technical background. Ability to work independently and lead a multicultural team. Experience in the Middle East is a plus. Strong planning and analysis skills. Business Understanding Excellent knowledge of the GCC PPA/IWP/IWPP framework. Field : General Management
