Your Role in Our Team
We're looking for a Construction Works Supervisor with a strong background in road construction and maintenance projects. You'll lead critical infrastructure works across the Barcaldine Region, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and safely.
Your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing construction and maintenance duties to enhance community infrastructure. Engaging in road maintenance/construction activities, including traffic control and manual handling tasks. Leading a team by promoting safe working practices and maintaining a collaborative environment. Developing strong relationships with stakeholders while ensuring exceptional customer service. We are searching for a dedicated and experienced professional who is passionate about construction and is ready to take on supervisory responsibilities. Your experience and qualifications will set you apart as a leader in our team.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in civil construction, specifically road construction and maintenance. Proven supervisory experience in construction works. Current Queensland Construction Safety Induction Card (White/Blue Card) or equivalent. Valid Australian Driver's Licence. Experience and relevant certifications for operating road construction plant. Certificate III in Civil Construction and prior experience with Local Government are desirable. Your ability to manage a team effectively, solve problems creatively, and maintain a strong focus on safety will be critical to your success in this role.

As a valued member of Barcaldine Regional Council, you will receive a competitive salary of $82,890.60 (negotiable for exceptional candidates), plus superannuation of up to 12% and relevant approved allowances.

Relocation assistance to help you transition smoothly. Subsidised housing. A 76-hour work schedule over 9 days, with a rostered day off every fortnight. Five weeks of annual leave per annum with a 17.5% loading. Fifteen days of personal leave per annum. #J-18808-Ljbffr
