The Role :
As a 2IC, you are responsible for the guidance, support and general supervision of children, staff, and volunteers in the absence of the Nominated Supervisor of the service.
You are expected to facilitate and support the Nominated Supervisor in leading a team of Educators to ensure they are working in accordance with the service philosophy, policy, and procedures, and as per the National Quality Standards (NQS), to provide high quality education and care for all enrolled children.
Key Competencies :
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment Strong understanding of the importance of family communications Leadership and mentoring skills Understanding of the Montessori Philosophy Experience working with preschool aged children Passionate about implementing early learning programs Commitment to the holistic development of their class Essential criteria :
Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent) Current Working with Children Check First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain one Excellent understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment Strong understanding of the importance of family communications Commitment to the holistic development of their classroom What we offer :
