As a Director of Business Development - Low Carbon Energy, you will be responsible for active collaboration with Operations and Inside Sales (Proposals Team) to position and differentiate the company and secure profitable and sustainable work. The BD Director is accountable for developing and delivering new award sales plans, including overall accountability for closing the deal for identified opportunities.
What you'll do The role responsibilities include: Drive client development strategies with Operations, Commercial, and Sales teams. Build and maintain executive-level relationships with existing clients. Identify and grow new client relationships in decarbonisation, energy transition, renewables, and storage. Lead win plan development, call planning, and report issuance throughout the sales process. Collaborate with Operations and Commercial teams to develop proposals, pricing, and contractual strategies. Manage accounts and opportunities using the Customer Success Platform (CSP), ensuring data integrity. Achieve sales goals, budgets, and targets. What you'll have Relevant years of senior business development experience in technical services or decarbonisation project management. In-depth knowledge of energy, natural resources, and infrastructure markets, with a focus on engineering, procurement, and construction. Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a globally minded, inclusive approach. Collaborative, innovative, and proactive mindset. Ability to work closely with operational teams to drive business growth. Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering or a related field (commercial qualifications are a plus).
