Director - Allied Health (Rehabilitation)
This role provides significant strategic direction to Allied Health Profession Directors and the Rehabilitation leadership team.
An opportunity has become available for a Director – Allied Health (Rehabilitation) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12,000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Provide leadership across the workforce in creating a culture and future direction that values innovation, contemporary models of care, education, research, and professional support.
Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic and service planning in liaison with the Executive Director and Clinical Director for Allied Health and Rehabilitation Services.
Identify potential large-scale risks and/or emergent complex clinical service or workflow problems, initiate immediate responses, report appropriately, and ensure follow-up.
Lead research and education initiatives including fostering the translation of evidence-based research data into practice to support decision-making and workforce capacity.
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Tertiary degree in a relevant Allied Health discipline is mandatory.
Relevant professions include: Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Social Work, Speech Pathology.
AHPRA Registration (If applicable).
Aged Care Check (If applicable).
Blue Card (If applicable).
Evidence of vaccination, or ability to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Hepatitis B.
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required.
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed.
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost).
