We have an ongoing vacancy for a Digital Preservation Coordinator, APS 5, in the Digital Preservation team.
About Digital Preservation The Digital Preservation team is part of the Data Governance and Management section. It is responsible for ensuring the Library's digital collection material is safely kept and remains usable in the long term, as digital technologies evolve and change.
Digital Preservation coordinates digital preservation activities across the Library to deliver the NLA Digital Preservation Strategic Plan. It is responsible for preparing policies, implementing systems, tools, and workflows.
About the Digital Preservation Coordinator The Digital Preservation Coordinator is responsible for: Analysing data from the Library's digital preservation system to identify digital preservation issues and risks, investigating them, and proposing and implementing solutions to resolve or mitigate them; Helping to design and implement digital preservation workflows and overseeing and assisting Library staff with processing digital collection material into the Library's digital preservation system; Undertaking applied research on file-format support and implementing the NLA Digital Preservation Knowledge Base.
