We are looking for a Regional Biosecurity Lead Central to join our Biosecurity Queensland team.
As our Regional Biosecurity Lead Central, you will be responsible for driving high-level strategic advice and engagement activities for Biosecurity Queensland.
You will know you're achieving success in the role when you: Are dedicated to successfully and strategically engaging with local governments, industry, and the regional communities to support Biosecurity initiatives.
Effectively advocate for Biosecurity Queensland's interests, providing advice and counsel to the Minister, Director-General, and Chief Biosecurity Officer, and programs on Biosecurity matters.
Actively contribute to and lead a high-performing regionally dispersed team.
Manage, lead, and champion high-level Biosecurity initiatives throughout the relevant regions.
Establish a stronger ongoing regional presence for Biosecurity Queensland through the establishment of regional hubs.
Biosecurity Queensland plays a vital role in securing the state's agricultural prosperity and preserving and protecting the health of our environment and economy.
We are dedicated to safeguarding both human and animal health by preventing and mitigating plant and animal pests and diseases.

The location for this position is Mackay, Rockhampton, and Emerald.
