Your role at St John of God Bunbury Hospital We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our hospital management team to assist the Hospital CEO with forming strategies, innovating change and service improvements in relation to third party major contracts, including WA Country Health Service (WACHS).
This will be a broad and diverse role, engaging closely with most hospital departments.
The Director of Hospital Contracts and Project Delivery is responsible for oversight, administration, quality of service, contract compliance and contractor performance for current and future third party major service contracts at SJGBH and those provided by SJGBH. This role is also responsible for supporting the planning and subsequent delivery of key local projects using contemporary project management approaches.
The Position Design, develop and implement a scalable 'best practice' contract management function for use on clinical and support service contracts that is compliant with existing SJGHC risk and governance frameworks. Directly manage this governance function for third party major Clinical and Support service contracts. Develop, recommend and implement continual improvement protocols to ensure improvements to SJGHC governance standards are incorporated into the clinical contract management function where required. Coordinate any tenders for third party clinical services where necessary or otherwise assist Group Procurement and hospitals to co-ordinate tenders including, where necessary, drafting requests for tenders and liaising with other key departments such as Group Digital & Technology, Clinical, and Legal for input and review. Conduct contract strategy meetings with key internal stakeholders to identify issues and Hospital requirements, facilitate pricing discussions, and obtain internal input on timelines and deliverables. Identify gaps within existing contract management practices and within Service Level Agreements for existing contracts and implement processes with key internal stakeholders to close identified gaps and improve service delivery. Develop and establish an end to end and scalable contract performance management framework that meets the needs of key internal stakeholders and encompasses best practices in contract and risk management and, where required, aligns with existing SJGHC procurement procedures. Develop and implement continual improvement protocols to ensure that the contract management function evolves in line with best practice parameters. Develop and manage a reporting regime appropriate for each specific contract to meet the needs of prescribed stakeholders, including a continual improvement process addressing feedback from key stakeholders. If required, draft contractual provisions based on strategy discussions, senior management input, and organisational needs and expectations for review by Group Legal and provide key service direction to Group Legal resources in the development and amendment of key contracts and templates. You will hold a qualification in law, business administration or healthcare administration, with demonstrated experience in the understanding of contract law concepts and the operation of service related contracts. As a senior leader, you will possess a background in project management, service improvement and demonstrate the understanding of key clinical concepts and operational requirements.
To succeed you will have excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills and the ability to manage and motivate a small team of contract administrators. This position will require you to have the capacity to present to key stakeholders and represent SJGHC in contract negotiations where required.
Demonstrated organisational skills with a sound approach to adapting to rapidly changing business environments are essential to the position of Director of Hospital Contracts and Project Delivery.

We Can Offer You Salary: $185,650 to $206,278 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation. A Full Time position, working 38 hours per week.
