We are looking for an Exploration Manager to join our site-based leadership team at Osborne Mine. The role will be site-based on an 8 / 6 roster (or similar).
Responsibilities include: Implement detailed exploration plans and programs. Develop budgets, schedules, and resource plans for exploration projects. Analyse geological, geophysical, and geochemical data to identify target areas. Oversee drilling, sampling, and assay programs to evaluate mineral resources. Ensure the accurate interpretation of data to guide decision-making. Responsible for leading the exploration department which includes mentoring geologists, technicians, and other exploration staff. Communicate exploration progress and results to senior management and stakeholders. Collaborate with regulatory agencies, local communities, and contractors. Ensure exploration activities adhere to environmental, safety, and legal standards. Prepare and submit reports to regulatory bodies as required. Contribute to the company's long-term exploration and development strategy. Evaluate and recommend investment opportunities in exploration projects. About you: Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field (Master's or PhD preferred). 8–10 years of experience in mineral exploration, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of successful exploration and resource identification. Proficiency in geological mapping, modeling software (e.g., Micromine, Surpac, Leapfrog, or GIS tools). Strong understanding of drilling techniques, sampling methods, and resource estimation. Excellent team management and mentoring skills. Strong project management abilities with a focus on delivering results on time and within budget. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Willingness to travel and work in remote locations. Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations in exploration activities. About us: Queensland-based site role located approximately 150km south of Cloncurry.
