Salary: 140,609 to $209,516 base salary + 11.5% superannuation + applicable allowance 225,594 to $242,117 base salary + 11.5% superannuation + applicable allowances Location: 3-hour drive to Sydney 45-minute drive to the Ski slopes City living without the traffic The hospital is a modern 600+ bed tertiary trauma and referral hospital, with 3700 births per year and is a level 6 referral centre for high-risk pregnancies for the region.
Career Medical Officer Obs and Gynae: As a Career Medical Officer, you will be a collaborative clinical specialist with demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional and safe healthcare. You will be a critical member of the O&G Team and contribute to a progressive service.
Minimum Requirements: Registered medical practitioner with at least three years' post-graduate experience in public hospital service. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact sensitively and holistically with women experiencing complex pain. Proven experience in developing and maintaining credible, respectful, and collaborative professional relationships. Specialised clinical capabilities to contribute to research opportunities within this field. Senior Career Medical Officer Obs and Gynae: To be successful in this position, it is expected that the successful candidate will have the following attributes:
Relevant registration or eligibility for registration as a medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Career Medical Officer or equivalent. Proven performance in both undergraduate and postgraduate general practice education. Availability for occasional weekend and after-hours work. Duties: Provide specialised Obstetrics and Gynaecology services within a multidisciplinary gynaecological oncology service. Teach and supervise Obstetrics and Gynaecology trainees and medical students. Liaise and collaborate with medical practitioners and agencies concerned with Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Participate in clinical governance and quality and safety activities. Contribute to research and educational research related to the discipline of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification. Note: Career Medical Officer Positions are supervised by a Staff Specialist.
