The business is a medium-sized manufacturer in Brisbane's South East, creating and delivering products for home builders.
The business has recently received investment and needs a dynamic, hands-on Procurement Specialist on site to lead the function.
Description
Reporting to the Group CFO, you will lead the Procurement function with a focus on building strong and sustainable relationships with suppliers.
You will be directly responsible for the operationalization of the procurement strategy (set with the CFO) and cover:
Leading the Procurement function ensuring optimum stock control levels are cost-effectively maintained whilst staying ahead of scheduled delivery dates negotiated with clients.
Building strong strategic relationships with suppliers and customers to influence the cost-effectiveness and sustainability of procurement operations.
Managing the reporting of all procurement operations (stock focus) into the Executive Leadership Team, constantly reviewing systems and procedures to promote innovation, maximize efficiencies, and deliver outstanding customer service.
Building a positive continuous improvement culture through proactive leadership; setting clear goals and targets, empowering performance, and facilitating a learning environment.
Managing the reporting of all estimating forecasts, operations, and win ratios into the Executive Leadership Team, assisting with estimating activities for selective major and complex projects.
Profile
You are a proven Procurement/Purchasing Manager or Procurement Specialist with experience gained from within steels, materials, construction, building products, or a similar manufacturing environment.
You will have led a small team before and hold expertise in dealing with subcontractors and customer pricing, purchasing, and inventory.
Ideally, you will hold a relevant tertiary qualification.
Job Offer
Circa $120,000 + super + bonus (negotiable depending on experience)
