Introduction As Senior Advisory Consultant, you will be the Senior Technical Leader and subject matter expert for Multi-Cloud and Cloud Native Development Strategy and New Ways of Working. Our goal is to provide strategic advisory services with an engineering focus, ensuring our advice is biased towards client outcomes with an accelerated path to business value realization. You will drive advisory-led lead generation and work on advisory engagements for client delivery. You will bring client centricity and a strategic view on technology in each client interaction. You will be accountable for the overall technology strategy, opportunity identification, and overall client success for Cloud Solutions for your clients. In partnership with the Seller, you will prospect, generate leads, progress those leads, and own the opportunities uncovered from a technical perspective. In this role, you will be responsible for developing client value propositions, solution design, and technical accelerators such as Proof of Values, adopting AI at scale, and experiential selling, differentiating IBM Consulting's capabilities. You are highly proficient in developing and delivering cloud strategy and assessments, business cases, operating models, and transformation/modernization roadmaps with an engineering focus.
Your goal will be to build trusted and ongoing relationships with key buyers and influencers, including cloud developers, CIOs/CTOs, and technology procurement.
Your Role and Responsibilities Expert level skills in Cloud to guide technical architects on Cloud strategy and solution best practices. Significant experience in the major industries, including but not limited to Public Sector and Financial Services. Expert level skill in Cloud technology (Development Ops productivity, hybrid multi-cloud integration, PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), cognitive computing, APIs, Cloud Privacy, and Security. Functional level knowledge and experience in Containerization, Micro-Services, and API development utilizing Kubernetes platforms and RedHat OpenShift. Deep understanding and experience in AWS or MS Azure, including automation of deployment and containers. Deep understanding of the current state of the art for infrastructure automation, continuous integration/deployment, SQL/NoSQL/NewSQL, networking, and cloud-based delivery models. Experienced skill level with contemporary engagement methods such as whiteboarding, workshops, hands-on demos, prototyping, and Proof of Concepts. Experienced level skills with Design Thinking, Agile, DevOps, and FinOps methods. Business case modeling skills (i.e., Cloud total cost of Ownership vs Business as Usual purchases). Ability to position Cloud technology against industry solution requirements. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, including demonstrable experience in engaging senior and executive leadership (client-side). Self-driven and detail-oriented. Ability to work collaboratively and productively with globally dispersed teams. Ability to manage ambiguity while producing tangible results. Ability to effectively manage challenging situations without loss of focus when under pressure. Required Technical and Professional Expertise Certified in RedHat OpenShift, AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc. Working knowledge of OpenShift, AWS, Microsoft Azure. Demonstrable knowledge and experience in architectural methodologies/frameworks (such as TOGAF). Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise Knowledge of various software technologies, methodologies, and applied software engineering practices/standards. Strong foundational knowledge in data and AI. Ability to articulate the business and technical value of cloud services and solutions to senior leaders and technical decision-makers. #J-18808-Ljbffr
