Direct Agri is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Business Development Manager to drive agribusiness growth across Southern Australia from the Murray south into Tasmania. This role is purely focused on agribusiness development and relationship management with growers and industry partners. Operational support for offshore recruitment, mobilisation, demobilisation, and worker welfare will be provided by our dedicated on-the-ground staff.
Key Responsibilities : Identify and pursue new agribusiness opportunities with limit on crop type or industry. Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with growers, industry stakeholders, and key partners. Promote and expand the use of the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) Program to support workforce needs. Collaborate with growers to understand their labour requirements and offer tailored workforce programmes consistent with their needs. Provide ongoing relationship management to ensure client satisfaction and continued business growth. Qualifications and Experience : Demonstrated experience in agribusiness development within the horticultural sector, preferably with citrus, grapes, leaf vegetables and any other product produced in the area. Strong knowledge of the PALM Program and its benefits for growers in the horticulture industry. Deep understanding of horticultural operations in the south of Australia, with an established network of industry contacts. Proven ability to identify opportunities, build relationships, and grow revenue through strategic partnerships that lead to deals being closed and lots of commission.
