We are regularly tendering for Civil Projects right across Queensland and seeking expressions of interest from people to join us in submissions and capable of committing to assignments (if successful) for an initial period of approximately 6 to 12 months with a possibility of ongoing extensions and other projects.
Mandatory Requirements: Commercial Building Construction experience will be required to manage & lead projects during the construction phase from a contractor's standpoint, which would include the need to be competent in the following areas:
Budgeting, programming, monitoring expenditure, controlling resources & reviewing priorities. Manage labour, equipment, materials and subcontractors within budget and time constraints. Undertaking various contract management activities including client liaison. Procurement of building materials and project services within guidelines. Implement project management systems in accordance with regulations & processes. Submit reports and provide information to management within timeframes. Train and guide project staff on specifications and construction processes. Contribute to the estimating process for bids or offers. Strong experience & knowledge of Australian Building Code Technical Specifications. Working knowledge of MYOB Advanced Construction, Autodesk Construction, Premier, Expert Project, Contractor Foreman, InEight, Fieldwire, Buildxact, Procore or other similar project management packages. Strong written, verbal communication & computer literacy skills. Experience with project management systems, including safety and environment. Qualifications / Accreditations: A Building Trade Qualification and current open/valid driver's licence are mandatory.
Any post-trade project management courses & / or QBCC Licence is an advantage.
Proposed hours are nominally 38 p/week; however, some longer hours & weekend work may be required. Most likely based around South East QLD or Northern NSW, however, some work away in regional or remote locations may be required depending on requirements.
You must have the right to work in Australia, with prior experience working on Australian projects and well-developed interpersonal and consultative skills.
