Senior Leading Hand for Grounds, Maintenance & Cleaning Be responsible for the coordination of the General Services Officers (GSO) team in the day-to-day functions of services across the campus.
Position Details Position Classification: PH5BR ($61,234-$62,926)
Location: Batchelor Campus
Reporting to: Ground, Maintenance & Cleaning Supervisor (GMC)
Tenure: Permanent Full Time

Licences Applicants must have an Ochre Card and a current Police Check and/or the ability to obtain these prior to commencement. A C Class drivers' licence is also required.

Purpose of the Position This position is responsible for the coordination of the General Services Officers (GSO) team in the day-to-day functions of services across the campus. These services may include cleaning, repair & maintenance, gardening, and building services, as well as providing in-house training and leadership to your team.
Duties Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Facilitate overall day-to-day operation of the GSO's including coordination and supervision of the team to ensure work is completed to a required standard. Coordinate rostering, prioritisation, and allocation of work activities for the GSO team across the campus. Report to the GMC Supervisor on incidences of vandalism, breakages, and grounds maintenance requirements including any Work Health & Safety (WHS) requirements. Ensure campus assets and equipment are maintained in a safe operational condition to meet all grounds, maintenance, and cleaning requirements. Selection Criteria Demonstrated ability to work effectively in culturally diverse teams within the social, political, and cultural environments of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, communities, and organisations. Self-motivated and proven ability to work both independently and to supervise and lead a versatile team. Demonstrated initiative in managing workload priorities. Ability to be flexible and work across a variety of skill areas by having relevant qualifications or hands-on experience in grounds, maintenance, or cleaning and willing to undertake further training relevant to the duties of the position. Demonstrated ability to use computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
