Position : Game Development Officer
Location : Cairns, Australia
Employment Type : Part Time (5 hours per week)
About Us : Baseball QLD is dedicated to promoting and expanding the sport of baseball across the state. Our Game Development team plays a pivotal role in fostering participation and creating opportunities for growth within our community. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as Game Development Officer, for 5 hours per week based in Cairns.
Role Overview : This role is focused on growing the game of baseball in the local community by working with schools, clubs, and stakeholders. You will be responsible for delivering participation programs, rolling out pilot programs, organising BQ events, and expanding Baseball5 in the region. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the development of baseball in North Queensland.
Key Responsibilities : Liaison and Co-Ordination: Collaborate with local clubs in Cairns to assist in the rollout of participation and coach education programs. Program Delivery: Deliver engaging and effective Baseball participation sessions to school-aged children. Coach Development: Work with and support local community junior club coaches with existing BQ initiatives. Expand Baseball5: Actively promote and grow Baseball5 by introducing it to schools and community groups, organising events, and creating pathways for continued participation. Qualifications : Previous experience in sports development, coaching, or a related field. Strong organisational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Passion for baseball and sports development. Experience working with children and young people is highly desirable. Why Join Us?
