Working as part of the Test Team, this role will help develop, implement, and maintain quality, consistency, and usability of A&G's systems via ongoing automated testing.
This position will contribute to the ongoing development of our Automation Framework, assist in defining, scripting, executing, and maintaining automated tests to support rapid and scaled delivery for Auto & General.
Automation tests will be built to ensure our application changes meet both specification and customer journey requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute automated test cases for all A&G applications using the chosen scripting language.
Adhere to automation best practices and coding standards to ensure tests are reusable, scalable, and maintainable.
Collaborate with Test team members (Test Analysts, Automation Analysts) on reviewing test cases for automation readiness.
Increase knowledge and understanding of application functionality, business rules, and customer journey to improve automation.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that provide automated and timely feedback on the quality of our applications.
Regularly collaborate with all technical teams to identify automation opportunities to enhance environment setup, configurations, and deployments.
Produce automated test reports, including defects, to ensure transparency and identify opportunities for improvement.
Pair with test team members to triage automated test failures.
Be a key contributor in the Test Community of Practice, sharing and introducing advancements and better practices in test automation.
Champion an Automation First approach to testing while working with developers and test analysts to achieve this.
Adhere to organizational testing practices.
Provide on-call assistance as required.
Provide onboarding support as required.
Provide out-of-hours deployment support on a rotation roster.
Develop and maintain automation frameworks along with supporting documentation.
