These branches are responsible for shaping work health and safety and workers' compensation policy in the Commonwealth jurisdiction, as well as driving national policy through tripartite forums such as Safe Work Australia.Key Responsibilities :Building and sustaining productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to develop considered policy positions.Preparing high quality written materials, including briefings, agenda papers, and reports for a range of audiences including the independent panel, Minister, and senior executive.Managing one or more projects using well-developed strategic project planning and organisational skills to deliver results to a high standard and in a timely manner.Supporting, mentoring, and developing team members to build organisational capability.Managing communication, contract, and procurement activities.Supervising staff, including supporting, mentoring, and developing team members to build organisational capability.Contributing to the strategic direction of the Branch and contribute towards branch and organisational planning.Please note, under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the APS unless the Agency delegate has agreed, in writing.
This is a designated security assessed position.
The successful candidate will have the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance.This selection process may be used to establish a merit pool.
