The HMC Group has extensive aviation, tourism and accommodation operations in some of the most iconic regions of Australia and is seeking to appoint a Recruitment Coordinator / Advisor for parental leave cover starting January – September 2025 with the possibility of extension.
The HMC Group is a collection of quality businesses under common ownership and has expanded rapidly in both geographic location and size of operations over the past 8 years.
The HMC Group currently has offices in Perth, Kununurra, Broome, Karratha, Geraldton and Adelaide, and has an expanding team of approaching 400 employees, with further and substantial business growth forecast over the next five years.
About the role
You will receive exposure to the full recruitment lifecycle and work across all the entities within the HMC Group.
Key duties and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
End-to-end recruitment, including writing job descriptions and advertisements, pre-screening, and shortlisting candidates, scheduling interviews and completing reference checks. Assist with tailored recruitment approach to vacancies. Coaching and mentoring hiring managers on best practice recruitment, including structuring and conducting effective interviews. Participating in interviews as required. Maintenance of candidate database. Undertaking various pre-employment checks and screening as required. Assisting with the coordination and participation at expos and other community events designed to raise our profile as an employer. Maintaining employee records, ensuring confidentiality is maintained always. Providing timely and accurate advice and assistance with general recruitment related inquiries. Ensure job advertisement platforms and social media sites accurately reflect the Group brand and are kept up to date to reflect current vacancies. To be successful in this role
Previous recruitment experience, ideally with exposure to both technical and management levels roles. A high level of computer literacy, including an intermediate to high skill level in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Ability to demonstrate high level communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to work flexibly with limited daily supervision and direction is essential. High level of attention to detail with the ability to identify continuous improvement initiatives. Have a strong working knowledge and experience utilising HRIS. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organisation. What we offer you
