Australian Beer Company has passionately been developing its Yenda Craft Beer and Pressman's Cider range since its establishment in December 2013.
The success of these brands has created opportunities within the packaging team for a Packaging Shift Supervisor to meet safety, quality, customer service, and productivity targets to support the continued development of our brands at our state-of-the-art brewery in Yenda, New South Wales.
Responsibilities for this position include :
Develop and ensure adherence to safe work practices, site policies, and procedures.
Ensure quality specifications are met.
Setup machines and monitor the production process.
Assist in the development of staff in their team and build team morale.
Operate equipment in accordance with SOPs.
Ensure quality products are produced in a timely manner.
Monitor material availability for production runs.
Complete all paperwork in accordance with requirements.
Assist in problem-solving to ensure continuous improvement within packaging.
Maintain a high level of energy and passion to motivate staff to fulfill production requirements.
Qualifications / Skills :
A passion for safety and wellbeing in the workplace.
A clear understanding of continuous improvement principles or experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
The ability to think proactively and independently.
Experience working on a high-speed packaging line.
Good organisational and planning ability.
Understanding of 5S principles.
Effective communication, literacy, and numeracy skills.
Technical aptitude will be advantageous.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Tertiary qualification in an engineering or manufacturing area is beneficial but not essential.
Successful applicants must have their own transport and be able to work rotating shifts.
A pre-employment medical including a physical test and a drug & alcohol screen must be completed.
