Position Description: We are seeking a skilled Architectural Draftsperson to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with architects and designers to develop detailed drawings and plans for various projects.
Key Responsibilities: Draft plans and detailed drawings for steel structures. Draw maps, diagrams, and profiles using cross-sections and surveys to represent elevations, topographical contours, subsurface formations, and structures. Correlate, interpret and modify data obtained by topographical surveys, well logs, and geophysical reports. Finish and duplicate drawings and documentation packages according to required mediums and specifications for reproduction, using blueprinting, photography, or other duplicating methods. Review sketches, drawings, and specifications received from civil engineers to ensure that they conform to design concepts. Determine order of work and method of presentation including orthographic or isometric drawing. Calculate excavation tonnage and prepare graphs for fill-hauling diagrams for use in earth-moving operations. Explain drawings to production or construction teams and provide adjustments as necessary. Calculate weights, volumes, and stress factors and their implications for technical aspects of designs. Use computer-assisted drafting systems (CAD) to produce drawings. Determine quality, cost, strength, and quantity of required materials. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $76,000.00 per year
