Job Description
The Digital Product Design (DPD) Branch is responsible for shaping the future digital experience of the Services Australia ecosystem, including myGov. This is achieved through consistent and seamless design practices aimed at reaching the digital experience target state.
We are seeking dedicated and experienced professionals in service design, user research, and interaction design to lead and inspire our teams at Services Australia. These roles are crucial in ensuring our services are user-centred, effective, and accessible.
Responsibilities:
Service Designers: Research, develop, prototype, and test service designs to ensure optimal user and staff experience and deliver business outcomes. Advocate for improving services by understanding customer and staff needs and exploring opportunities for enhancement. Interaction Designers: Assist in the development of design concepts for digital products and services. Design, test, and evaluate solutions to meet stakeholder and agency requirements, incorporating evidence-based research into their work. User Research Officers: Support the delivery of quality user research project outcomes by undertaking research and analysis, preparing documentation, and providing administrative support for user research activities. These roles work under the support and general direction of senior staff. They exercise a degree of independent judgement and make decisions within defined parameters that require some reliance on skills and knowledge.
