Our Client Our client is a government agency in NSW. We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer for an immediate start on an initial 6-month contract. Offering $45 / hour + super, this role comes with a 40-hour workweek in a team environment. Role Summary In this role, you'll handle payment transactions, manage SAP vendor and purchase orders, and review payment performance. Reporting to the Senior Finance Officers, Finance Manager, and Finance Director, your work will support business teams and ensure compliance with key statutory requirements and organisational policies.
Key Responsibilities Process builder payment transactions and special payments. Review, edit, and update SAP purchase orders and vendor data. Monitor invoice payments and follow up with business teams on outstanding approvals. Educate and assist users with SAP PO and payment processes. Maintain Excel schedules and support month-end payable tasks. Assist in the analysis and reporting of payable and other transactional KPIs. About You Proficiency in SAP or equivalent financial systems, especially in purchase order modules (3-way matching, service entries), requisitioning, invoice management, and payment reporting. Intermediate Excel skills (including formula usage). Familiarity with TRIM records management (preferred, but not essential). A proactive attitude and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Australian PR / citizen or on a long-term working visa.
