What you'll be doing in this role Uniting Kari Court is seeking a Bus Driver to work at St Iveson on a permanent part-time basis to provide driving services for, and to ensure the safe and comfortable transport of Residents, along with performing care staff duties when necessary.
Your main responsibilities will include: Efficient arrangement of maintenance and repair of vehiclesMonitoring the completion of daily vehicle checksProviding driving services and being responsible for the welfare and safety of residents and clients travelling between their places of residence and other Uniting Locations and on outingsAssisting residents and clients to enter and exit the bus and providing mobility support as requiredProviding supervision of residents and clients and ensuring their safety at all timesWhat we're looking for Current MR or LR licenceProven experience and reliability in bus drivingCertificate III in Aged Care is desirableA strong commitment to working with the frail aged and people with challenging behaviours, and disabilities including dementia, developmental disabilities, and psychiatric illnessesAbility to provide service equitable to all consumers regardless of race, religion, gender, social or financial backgroundCommitment to observe the WHS policies of Uniting AgeingGood communication skillsAbility to work as part of a team with minimal supervisionA sound knowledge of surrounding road networksWhat We Offer You: A rewarding career with a leading human services organisationUp to $18,550 NFP salary packaging availableAccess to our U rewards program with exclusive discountsAccess to Fitness Passport – Live your best lifeA supportive, inclusive, and collaborative work environmentA commitment to offer opportunities to grow your careerPurchase of additional leaveHow to apply If this opportunity is of interest, then we'd love to hear from you.
