This role is focused around, proactive engagement with our customers and being directly accessible to provide trusted advice and recommendations.
With extremely limited dispensing responsibility the role has a much greater emphasis on having the right conversations with our customers at the counselling bench and in the retail space.
The successful applicant will be the face of our pharmacy, building trust with the community and acting as the go-to local primary health care specialist.What's required to be a Professional Care Pharmacist?
Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (or equivalent)Unrestricted registrations to practice in Tasmania are requiredClear and effective communication skills, with an attention to detail and organisation/time management skillsBe able to lead and contribute to a dynamic teamRetail pharmacy industry experienceYou must have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this jobVaccination trained (or be willing to upskill) Our pharmacy has expanded the role of our pharmacists into professional services including weight management, vaccination programs, and sleep apnoea management, and looking to further those services within Aged Care.Roles and ResponsibilitiesFirst and foremost, you'll be a customer facing pharmacist who can naturally converse with a wide variety of consumers.
You're out from behind the dispensary and offering advice and services to benefit our consumers.
Some roles and responsibilities may include (but are not limited to): Forward dispensingActively completing 7CPA targetsVaccination trained or a willingness to be trainedCounsel customers on their medical conditions and medications, both prescription and OTC, with the most up-to-date, evidence-based informationExecute health services to the highest professional standardBuild and maintain relationships with local health professionalsSupervise, direct and coach non-professional colleagues (pharmacy assistants, dispensary technicians etc.
)Assist in dispensary operations, including timely acceptance of prescriptions and counselling of patientsImplement and follow QCPP policy and procedure to the highest standardCommunicate all TerryWhite Chemmart, professional, and legislative information to the team when requiredCompounding various medications (when required)Execute the increased scope of practice to pharmacies Culture, Reward & RemunerationThis will be a well-supported role with an experienced pharmacy and management team.
Hours would be based on a minimum 38-hour week, including weekends.
Our trading hours currently are Monday-Friday 8:30am-7:00pm, Saturday 9:30am-5:00pm, Sunday 1:00pm-5:00pm.We are everything that community pharmacies should be.
