The In-House Counsel Role
This Legal Counsel role will report to the General Counsel and sits within a sizeable national team.
It is positioned as a key role within the business to provide adept and commercially focused legal advice.
Dealing directly with the business and being mentored as required, the Legal Counsel will be involved in a broad range of commercial activities, including contract drafting and amendment, procurement, negotiations, bespoke legal advice, dispute management strategies, involvement, briefing external counsel, and reporting to senior management on contractual risks and mitigation strategies.
The Lawyer We Seek
The lawyer we seek will have completed at least 3 years of PQE, up to around 6 or so, in a commercial law firm or in-house company.
They will be smart, commercially minded, and good with people, and have a good eye for detail and ability to negotiate contract terms with confidence.
Most importantly, they will possess superior interpersonal skills, a passion for providing quality advice, and an interest in being part of a business that is working on significant projects.
