And... We're hiring! We're currently on the hunt for a new experienced Insurance Estimator to join our team servicing Southern Suburbs/Sutherland Shire Region.
In this role, you'll: Assess domestic and commercial insurance claims and provide accurate reports, scope of work, estimates, and completed tender packages. Carry out site assessments to determine the cause of damage and return accurate reports, scope of work, and estimates. Compile and submit tender packages in accordance with client requirements and coordinate all supplier quotations. Develop and communicate preliminary programs of works, reviewing job files and documentation. Maintain service levels, assist customer service staff, keep customers informed, liaise with suppliers, and connect with new suppliers. Produce budgets and cost reports for management as required, and be available on call on rostered days to arrange and coordinate emergency works. In order to be successful you'll: Bring a building-related trade background and/or tertiary qualification in building & construction. Have a strong understanding of the domestic and commercial industry and procedures – advantageous. Bring transferable experience gained in a similar role in the insurance industry. Be a driven leader who will enjoy mentoring other members of the team and thrive on the opportunity to expand our business. Be highly organized, have strong attention to detail, and can prioritize accordingly. Be able to think clearly, independently, and creatively under pressure. Please note: The successful candidate will also need to provide a national police check certificate & working with children card.
