Opportunity snapshot: An opportunity reporting to the Head of Internal Audit - IT Assurance APAC has become available at Bupa. Based in Melbourne, the Manager - IT Audit will provide independent and objective assurance to Senior Management, the Board, and the Audit committee on the effectiveness of Bupa's risk management, control and governance processes.

This position is offered as full-time, permanent with hybrid working, from our Exhibition Street offices, in Melbourne. Key responsibilities include: To provide independent and objective assurance to senior management, the Board, and the Audit Committee on the effectiveness of Bupa's risk management, control and governance processes. To assist Bupa in achieving its strategic goals by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the evaluation and improvement of these processes. Undertake special project work, or line responsibilities in emergencies, as agreed by the Audit Committee, Senior Management or Chief Audit Officer, APAC. Provide an internal consultancy service that may be used by Bupa management, particularly in the areas of specialist knowledge. To manage a team of audit professionals to provide technically credible and highly respected audit coverage, that will consider all areas of governance, risk, and controls within the Asia Pacific market unit. To be responsible for producing and overseeing work that challenges senior management to make continual improvements to the effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal controls. What do I need? We anticipate you'll bring to this role approximately 7+ years end to end technology audit experience including auditing information security, cloud computing, data risk management, and project assurance.
In addition, you'll bring to the role:
Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Commerce/Business, or a related quantitative field. Professional qualifications (CIA, CA, ICAA, CPA, CISA, CISM, CISSP etc). Technical knowledge and skills in digital and other emerging technologies (AI, robotics etc) is desirable. A deep understanding of governance, risk, and control principles with a commercial mindset. Proficient communication skills presentation and interpersonal skills. Curiosity, with the ability to navigate within a complex and continuously changing business environment. Structure, with strong problem solving and analytical skills. Experience in managing junior colleagues and an interest in developing others.
