About the role: We have some exciting opportunities available for a Department Manager to come join our team and contribute to our ongoing success.
As a Department Manager , you will have the very meaningful job of leading the day-to-day store operations, ensuring your team build memorable experiences and making your customers D.I.Y. projects a reality. Your store will be your pride and joy – you'll use visual merchandising to your best advantage, aligning this to store marketing plans.
What's involved:
• Support the store leadership team
• Set an example of best service and support the team to deliver friendly and helpful advice to customers
• Coach the team on the right service behaviours
• Assist with inducting and training the team
• Ensure that merchandising standards fit with business requirements
• Coordinate stock
You'll need:
• Experience supervising and leading customer facing teams in a high safety and high compliance environment
• Strong analytical skills
• A passion for customer service
• Ability to coach and develop others, providing feedback and getting the best out of a team
• An ability to achieve results and standards by working with your team
• Open communication style
• Be approachable and confident when interacting with customers
• Have an eagerness to learn about new products
• To be on your feet assisting with customers across a wide range of retail hours
