About The Opportunity
The Financial Planning Officer will be responsible for maintaining key long-term financial planning documents and models, along with supporting the Financial Operations Manager in implementing the Financial Strategies of Bundaberg Regional Council. This will include preparing reports including budget reports, budget financials, variance and exceptions reports. You will also assess future financial trends, cashflows and funding requirements in order to provide recommendations to the Financial Operations Manager.
About You
Tertiary qualifications in Business/Accounting/Commerce or equivalent. Strong understanding of financial modelling. Advanced Excel skills. Proven experience in analysing financial systems to provide strategic financial advice and business insights. Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with a proven ability to consult, communicate, and problem-solve. Strong ability to communicate complex, sensitive, and strategic issues to a variety of stakeholders. High-level negotiation and facilitation skills to form collaborative solutions and assist in implementing appropriate strategic responses.
