As the Commercial Manager , you will play a pivotal role in optimising the financial performance and return on investment (ROI) of Council's diverse commercial asset portfolio and procurement activities.

In this influential position, you will:
Strategise and Execute : Develop and implement innovative commercial strategies to maximise the performance and profitability of our commercial assets.
Provide Expert Advice : Deliver high-level strategic guidance and support to Council on all matters related to commercial assets and procurement, ensuring informed decision-making.
Lead with Purpose : Inspire and guide the Commercial Services team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

About You
A tertiary degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Economics or related field.
Extensive experience in the preparation of technical internal and external reports relating to commercial advice and business analysis to management in a confidential and sensitive manner.
Excellent financial modelling, analytical, and forecasting skills, with a focus on ROI analysis.
Strong background in managing and optimising asset portfolios.
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex, sensitive and strategic issues to a variety of stakeholders, with the ability to apply high-level negotiation and facilitation skills to form collaborative solutions and assist in implementing appropriate strategic responses.
Demonstrated team/project management skills including the ability to successfully coordinate multiple strategic projects and lead operational teams within a strategy, policy and diversity environment.
Experience and knowledge in strategic procurement, supply and contract management practises would be highly regarded.
Experience and knowledge of Fleet Management practises is desirable.
Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountants (CA) membership (desired).
