A bit about the role Wyndham City is seeking a motivated professional to join the Building Services unit in managing the efficient and effective operation of the Council's swimming pool and spa register.
This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in the Building Regulations, particularly in relation to Part 9A – Safety requirements for the registration and certification of barriers for swimming pools and spas. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that the Council meets its regulatory obligations and enhances community safety.
You will be responsible for engaging with the community, providing clear information and guidance on the importance of this safety program, and ensuring compliance with all relevant requirements. Your work will involve delivering exceptional customer service while combining your technical knowledge, empathy, and problem-solving skills to create a positive experience for the community.
What you'll deliver Facilitate swimming pool and spa register as per regulatory obligations and prepare documentation in relation to legislation and policies.Provide an efficient and helpful service to the public in relation to swimming pool and spa registration and compliance matters.Assist the community in technical advice and the administrative functions related to the ongoing requirements for swimming pool and spa compliance.What you'll bring Completed or nearly completed Bachelor of Building Surveying or Advanced Diploma of Building Surveying.Proficient knowledge and understanding of Building Act, Building Regulations, National Construction Code and Australian Standards.Proficient knowledge and understanding of Part 9A of the Building Regulations.Knowledge of and skills in the use of computer programs.Well-developed human relations skills along with strong written and oral communication skills.Ability to prepare clear, concise, and accurate reports with exemplary attention to detail.A continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude.What's next?
