Our client and their requirements:
We have partnered with a local council in the South West of Greater Sydney. Our client is looking for qualified and experienced Building Surveyors to work 2 - 3 days per week (14-21 hours) for up to a 6 month period.
The role:
The position will involve working with a small team of Building Surveyors to undertake building inspections in line with policy and procedure. Salary to be negotiated depending on skills and experience.
Your main duties & responsibilities will include:
Working with a small team of Building Surveyors to undertake building inspections. Adhering to Council's policies and legislative frameworks relating to Building Surveying, Building Certification and Planning matters. What you will need to succeed includes:
Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Health and Building, Building Surveying or a related field. Accreditation with NSW Fair Trading at a registration level of Building Surveyor - restricted (class 1 and 10 buildings). Experience in a similar role within an LGA (preferred). Outstanding all-round communication skills. Remarkable organisational skills and attention to detail. Knowledge or ability to familiarise with the relevant legislation. Demonstrated ability to engage and manage stakeholders effectively. Class C Drivers Licence. About You:
A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills. Ability to manage workloads, work under pressure and meet deadlines. Previous experience in a similar role for (LGA desired). Disciplined with remarkable organisational skills to meet targets and purpose. Effective and efficient use of time to ensure a productive workflow. Drive to succeed. Hold a C class Drivers Licence (desirable). What perks are included for you:
