We are currently seeking an experienced Building Surveyor located up in Port Hedland. This will be a fixed term for 3 months. Flights and Accommodation will be provided.
This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours, and is due to start as soon as possible. You'll be working with a supportive team, in Port Hedland.
You'll receive a competitive hourly rate, and weekly pay from PERSOLKELLY. You'll also be provided with ongoing support and customer service from PERSOLKELLY throughout your contract.
Responsibilities:
Manage building approvals and processes, to ensure they are undertaken in accordance with relevant legislation within required timeframes. Manage relevant compliance issues to ensure they are responded to in a timely manner in accordance with the town's customer services charter and ensure appropriate action is taken to resolve each individual issue. Manage and streamline the compliance and approval process to ensure all building forms, procedures, internal flow charts, templates and information sheets are kept up to date in accordance with relevant legislation. Notify key stakeholders of any changes of update to legislation that can impact the organization. Qualifications:
Extensive experience in a similar field Demonstrated knowledge of local government, town planning, building and environment legislation. Experience investigating and resolving complaints received from the public. We are actively recruiting for this role, and the successful candidate will commence at short notice.
