The City's Building Services team is a highly experienced, busy team that provides an excellent level of customer service to the organisation, the building industry, and the broader community.
We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Building Surveyor to assist the team, providing technical advice to a wide range of stakeholders, processing certified and uncertified building permit applications, and actively participating in ongoing service improvements.
We are seeking applicants who have the following:
Level 1, 2 or Technician Building Surveyor's Certificate of Qualification.Experience in Local Government Building Surveying or the building industry.Knowledge of technical assessment methods, to interpret building plans and technical documentation, and assess applications for compliance with the Building Code of Australia.An understanding of the Building Codes Australia hierarchy.An understanding of the various building classifications.Additionally, applicants will be required to hold a current C class manual driver's licence and be able to provide a Police Clearance less than 6 months old.
