The Opportunity: We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Building Surveyor to join our Hobart team to help our clients achieve safe and compliant buildings.
This role will see you: Support our existing client base through sound technical knowledge and professionalism.Carry out regulatory assessments on all types of commercial projects.Carry out early phase compliance assessments and reporting through concept/schematic/design development.Assess project documentation against the deemed-to-satisfy and performance requirements of the Building Code of Australia, Act and Regs.Complete building permit assessments with the support of assistant building surveyors.Facilitate the preparation of Certificate of Likely Compliance, Occupancy Permits, Certificates and documentation.Manage multiple projects from beginning to end.Lead by example and assist in the development of staff through growth, education and support.Liaise with relevant stakeholders and provide technical assistance to our clients.Attend site inspections and design meetings as required.What you bring: Registration or nearly registered as a Building Surveyor.3-4+ years experience in a similar role is preferred; however, we will consider all levels of experience.Degree in Building Surveying.Sound knowledge of current Building Act, Regulations and Building Code of Australia.Well informed with Building Surveyors Code of Practice in Tasmania.Demonstrated time management and organisation skills with the ability to meet deadlines.Strong writing skills and ability to communicate with people at all levels.High level of attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.Computer literate.Current Driver's licence.Why join us: We're a friendly bunch who are passionate about our work.
