This cadetship provides: Hands-on training Working alongside experienced professionals Building skills in teamwork, customer service, and operational and/or technical support while getting paid Gaining practical expertise and insights for a successful future in their chosen field Purpose: To be eligible for this cadetship you must be currently enrolled and completing a Degree or Advanced Diploma in Building Surveying and be in your penultimate or final year.
About the role: Assessment of customer enquiries and complaints relating to building certification, compliance and fire safety Assist in the implementation of Council's building certification, compliance and fire safety programs Assessment of building related applications and certificates, fire safety statements and other matters Respond to correspondence, enquiries and complaints and deal with customers in an effective, efficient and courteous way.
About you: Understanding of the planning, building certification and regulatory provisions in the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 & Regulations and the National Construction Code (Building Code of Australia).
Ability to effectively manage a wide range of projects with minimal supervision with strict deadlines, while balancing competing priorities Have good analytical skills, time management skills and attention to detail.
