Building Surveyor/Building Regulations Consultant - CommercialTHE COMPANYOur client is dedicated to enhancing the safety and quality of living and working spaces for all. Whether it's certifying buildings, conducting inspections, assessing compliance, or addressing fire safety, their seasoned professionals have earned the trust of their clients by consistently delivering top-quality and efficient services.RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare and issue inspection reports.Assess applications for and issue Complying Development Certificates and Part 4A Certificates as required under the EP&A Act and Regulations.BCA assessment and reporting, including carrying out inspections of buildings.Provide advice to clients in a written and verbal consulting role.Assess performance-based solutions on all classes of buildings including liaising with fire safety engineers and Fire & Rescue NSW.Audit buildings.Assist with the preparation of fee proposals in accordance with company fee scales.Adapt flexibly to a dynamic work environment while managing time to meet project budgets and timeframes.ABOUT YOUMinimum of 2 years practical experience as a Building Regulations Consultant or Accredited Certifier in the private sector.Registration as an Accredited Building Certifier preferred but not essential.Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant field.Thorough knowledge and experience with all aspects of the EP&A Act and EP&A Regulations, BCA (Volume 1 and 2) including documents adopted by reference in the BCA such as Australian Standards and relevant Australian Standards.Preference for an applicant with demonstrated experience in completing certification work for a variety of class 2-9 building projects.Excellent organisational skills, able to work autonomously as well as the ability to multitask to ensure deadlines are met.Intermediate to advanced computer and keyboard skills and fully competent in the use of the Microsoft Office package and Outlook.You must have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this position.#J-18808-Ljbffr
