We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Building Supervisor to oversee construction projects for our client's expanding company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the successful completion of various building projects while working within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Responsibilities: Coordinate and supervise construction activities ensuring commercial projects are completed on time and within budget. Oversee and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and construction workers to maintain quality standards and adherence to project specifications. Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to address issues and ensure project milestones are met. Contribute hands-on work (as required) to minor repairs and maintenance. Requirements: Proven experience as a Building Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry. Trade/builders background with strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and relevant building codes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team. Ability to prioritise tasks, solve problems, and make sound decisions under pressure. Ability for some but rare travel around the region (90% of works will be based in Mackay but 10% may be projects in the greater Mackay/Central QLD region).
