Job DescriptionAs a Data Centre Fit-out Project Director, you will be responsible for managing and delivering projects across NEXTDC's existing data centre portfolio.
Within the Capital Works portfolio, the projects you will be leading will be a mix of base-building infrastructure capacity expansions, "white-space" provisioning for future data hall deployments, and customer fitouts.
Your visionary mindset and exceptional project management skills will be crucial in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and successful project execution.
What you'll do: Lead the delivery of multiple small to medium scale ($250k to $20m) project(s) within our data centres nationally and be responsible for ensuring successful project execution.Manage project controls, issues and dependencies and ensure that appropriate governance and reporting structures are in place.Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and optimisation of project outcomes.Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.Drive a safety-first culture and ensure thorough and high quality safety management systems are deployed throughout the build, fitout, deployment, commissioning, handover and operational phases of the deliverables.QualificationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Accuracy and brevity are essential attributes for this role.
Thorough knowledge of NCC and BCA requirements, and town planning processes.
Bring a strong emphasis on project and construction management controls to bear within the business and project(s), and effectively report to management.
Ability to work within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Highly developed project management skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence, consult and deliver a quality service while effectively balancing client expectations with corporate requirements and directions.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Highly proficient in key MS Office applications, especially Excel and Project.
