THE POSITION:
Internal facing role to manage minor building projects and review all applications for funding and inclusion in the future planned building program. Principal building contact for minor buildings and any others not overseen by the Supervisor.

THE POSITION:
Internal facing role to manage minor building projects and review all applications for funding and inclusion in the future planned building program. Principal building contact for minor buildings and any others not overseen by the Supervisor.

Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide project management leadership, direction, and training on building projectsOrganise regular meetings with internal clients to understand ideas for future building projectsWork with the clients to develop project scope and brief for proposed building projects in accordance with AlburyCity's
Project Management Framework (PMF)Act as 'gatekeeper' by reviewing the project briefs at the PMF Initiate Stage and make recommendations on their inclusion in the future building programAssist clients in submitting grant applications for external funding of approved building projectsWork with the Assets Team to ensure there is a comprehensive Asset Management Plan and budget for each propertyWork with Council's Design Coordinator and organise the transfer of major projects with a budget more than $0.25MDevelop PMF documentation to support minor project with a budget less than $0.25MEstablish PMF project team for all minor building projectsProvide an initial review of project briefs for new initiatives developed by business units and make recommendations
to the Supervisor on their inclusion in the building programDevelop project designs and budgets for minor projects at the PMF Plan Stage in conjunction with the internal clients
and designersAssist internal clients in the tender or quotation of minor building works in accordance with AlburyCity policy and
ensure that the works are satisfactorily completed to a high standardManage the physical, human and financial resources to deliver cost quality outcomes within adopted budget parametersUndertake the Complete Stage of all minor project and review lessons learnt with the Project Management OfficerAssist the Supervisor in the planning and budget estimation for cyclical worksMaintain PMF dashboard and variations for budget, time, and scopePerform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor which are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence, and trainingObserve requirements of the WHS Legislation, relevant to the job and adhere to AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding WHSObserve appropriate AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding day-to-day operations including Equal Employment Opportunity policies, AlburyCity's Dress Code and Standards Policy and AlburyCity's Code of Conduct Qualifications KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

Our People are required to present a smart and professional image to the public at all times including when in public and when working remotely.This position involves working in a predominantly indoor environment and using a computer is considered a core component of the role. A medical declartion is required for this position.This position is delegated with certain powers, authorities, duties and functions of Council under the AlburyCity Delegations of Authority in accordance with section 378 of the Local Government ActThis position requires evidence of a current Australian National Police CheckThis position is subject to alcohol and other drug testing.This position is located at the AlburyCity Administration Building, 553 Kiewa Street, Albury with frequent visits to external sites as requiredESSENTIAL CRITERIA: Qualification in an analytical discipline or relevant equivalent work experienceAt least ten years experience in the real estate or building industry ideally to include building project managementClass C Drivers LicenceDESIRABLE CRITERIA: Relevant qualifications in project managementAn interest or experience in building technology and an understanding of building materialsEXPERIENCE Building project management and dealing with variations to budget, time and scopeSPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Good understanding of finance and budget managementStrong analytical skillsBold personality to direct and remove projects for the program Opportunity Type: Albury City Council
