Position Overview:As a Building Performance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the environmental and operational performance of the REIT portfolio. You will analyze, monitor, and improve building systems to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability. Working closely with asset management, engineering, and sustainability teams, you will ensure that the portfolio achieves the highest standards, including NABERS ratings.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct building performance analysis (Data Driven) for the major REIT portfolio.Monitor and optimize energy efficiency, water usage, and sustainability metrics across all properties.Ensure all buildings in the portfolio meet or exceed NABERS certification standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, and construction to implement sustainability strategies in both new developments and existing buildings.Analyze building systems and data to provide actionable insights for improving operational performance.Prepare detailed reports for stakeholders, outlining building performance reviews, compliance, and recommendations.Stay current with industry trends, technology, and regulations related to building performance and sustainability.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field.3+ years of experience in building performance analysis, energy modeling, or a related role.NABERS accreditation would be advantageous as would broader IoT and sustainability experience.Strong understanding of sustainability principles, building energy codes, and certifications (e.g. NABERS, Green Star).Knowledge of HVAC systems, energy efficiency measures, and renewable energy technologies.Excellent communication and report-writing skills.Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.Experience working with REITs, commercial properties, or large building portfolios is highly desirable.Preferred Qualifications: Certification in energy management, sustainability, or building performance.Experience with post-occupancy evaluation and performance monitoring tools.How to Apply:If you are a proactive, solutions-driven professional with a passion for building performance and sustainability in commercial real estate, we'd love to hear from you!
