Applications are invited for the position of Building Maintenance Officer, based at the Administration Centre.
The successful applicant will assist in a diverse range of duties within Council's Civil Services and Environmental Services Divisions.
These duties will largely relate to building and asset maintenance, managing essential fire safety services in council buildings, managing building projects, maintaining the lawns and gardens at the Administration Centre, and ensuring environmental/building compliance.

Applicants should address the following Selection Criteria: QualificationsNSW School Certificate/ Record of School Achievement or equivalent.NSW Class C Drivers Licence.Trade Qualification in the building/construction industry.Skills and ExperienceDemonstrated customer service experience.Ability to operate computers and other office equipment.Understanding of Work Health and Safety Regulations.Willingness to undertake training in the areas of environmental compliance.Experience with the operation of small machinery such as mowers, etc.Previous experience in undertaking building maintenance, repairs, and installations.Ability to work unsupervised.Knowledge of requirements for relevant building codes and Australian Standards for the Building Construction Industry.Additional QualificationsSafeWork NSW General Construction Induction card ('White Card').Understanding of chemical application procedures relating to pesticides and herbicides.Knowledge and experience in contractor/project management.Experience across a broad range of building/construction work including but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, painting, and plastering.Employment will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Local Government (State) Award 2023.
The classification for the position will be up to Operational Band 1, Level 3, Grade 8.
Salary will be in accordance with qualifications and experience, and will be in a range from $1,190.02 to $1,281.56 gross per week.
