Building Maintenance Officer

About The PositionThe Building Maintenance Officer will be responsible for providing professional maintenance services, minor capital improvements, and installation programs to support an effective and high quality outcome for City owned building facilities whilst ensuring a high level of safety and proficiency is achieved at all times.
The City is open to considering applications from non-trade qualified candidates who possess significant experience in general building maintenance i.e.
painting/patching, hanging doors, installing deadlocks, with demonstrated knowledge of current workplace health and safety practices.
Key AccountabilitiesConduct scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance to City owned buildings as directed by the Building Maintenance Supervisor, in a professional manner.Identify and report maintenance and vandalism issues, including initial assessments and recommendations to the Building Maintenance Team for action and recording.Ensure rapid removal of offensive graffiti/vandalism.Organise and prioritise competing tasks and work both autonomously. #J-18808-Ljbffr
