Operating for 14 years, we are your local building expert for claims and repairs to properties damaged through insurable events such as storm, flood, fire, impact, or malicious damage.We ensure that every project is handled with the utmost care, from inception through to completion.Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Building Inspector / Supervisor to join our team. If you are customer-focused, have worked in the construction industry related to repair and restoration and have experience with home insurance claims management and coordination, then we'd love to hear from you!About The Role :Coordinating access to properties with insured parties and carrying out inspections to assess and determine the cause of damages to claimants' properties.Writing insurance reports, detailing scopes of work and estimating building repair works (by engaging sub-contractors for quotations) related to damage caused by insurable events, with a strong attention to detail.Liaising with our internal team to book in specialist trade investigations.Determining policy coverage in accordance with client agreements and maintaining an awareness of our service level agreements.Ensure all repair works conform to legislative OH&S requirements and ensuring proper construction techniques and standards are being applied.This role involves working closely with our claims & repair team as well as customers, clients, and our trades network.About You :Trade qualifications preferred or previous experience in residential construction.Exposure to the Insurance industry with home insurance repairs and restoration is preferred, but not essential.Good computer literacy and the ability to develop written insurance reports, scopes of work and price estimates for building repairs related to damage caused by insurable events, with a strong attention to detail.Strong communication skills and a friendly telephone manner to maintain relationships with our insurers, trades, suppliers, and colleagues with an innate ability to be empathetic to the needs of claimants at times of distress.Punctuality, with good organisation and time management skills.Full Australian working rights and a valid WA driver's licence.If you've been on the tools and it's getting harder on the body, are fed up with trying to win your own work, or you are looking for more autonomy and have a desire to learn with a positive attitude, you'll progress on the job with the support of our dedicated and highly experienced team!Why Join Us?A generous salary package (commensurate with experience), plus a healthy yearly bonus.A brand new, fully maintained Ford Ranger Wildtrack & fuel card.Workplace flexibility with the ability to work from home and manage your own diary.Stability and job security with all of the benefits of a full-time position.A non-corporate environment with hands-on directors who are invested in your growth and success, with room to make this role your own.If this sounds like the role for you or you are interested in exploring this opportunity further, please apply now!
