Our company requires a Building Estimator whose role will be to provide accurate and timely pricing to our sales team, create and maintain standard BOQs, and finalize contract pricing.Located in Shepparton and Echuca, Cavalier Homes Goulburn Valley is a volume builder committed to providing the highest level of customer service to our clients. Due to the steady growth of our business, we are now seeking a like-minded individual who is eager to join our professional team and is dedicated to the values of our company.Job tasks and responsibilitiesAccurately price and quantify bills of quantities (BOQ) using Databuild in a timely and efficient manner.Update, maintain, and improve the estimating price files.Generate accurate and timely take-offs for standard and one-off residential building projects including houses, duplexes, and units.Maintain up-to-date understanding of all relevant council information, act on local government directives and legislation, and ensure this information is distributed to all members of the company.Ensure client sales, contract, and colour selection information is accurately and efficiently incorporated into BOQ.Schedule all jobs in an accurate and efficient manner and distribute orders to relevant suppliers and trade contractors.Effectively communicate with suppliers, trade contractors, government officers, and Cavalier Homes Goulburn Valley staff.Provide professional and courteous conduct in all dealings with clients, suppliers, trade contractors, government officers, and Cavalier Homes Goulburn Valley staff.Skills and experienceMust be able to take responsibility and have effective time management skills.Have a high level of attention to detail and the ability to self-check work.Previous experience in estimating using a computerized pricing system is necessary.Proficient experience with Excel and Microsoft suite products.Previous work experience in the residential building industry will be highly regarded.The ability to work autonomously and in a team.Job Benefits and perksVibrant and progressive company to work for.Friendly team environment.Please note: The position is full-time, Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm from our office in Shepparton.If you believe you have the skills to perform this role, please include a cover letter outlining your skills, availability, and job experience as part of your application, together with your resume.
