Our mission is to support, advocate for, and elevate the design and thermal performance profession nationally, contributing to a sustainable and innovative built environment.We are seeking an experienced Chair to lead our Board, bringing strategic vision, industry expertise, and strong leadership to our governance. This role involves overseeing monthly online board meetings, typically held for one hour during weekdays from 4-5pm. Each year, we conduct three in-person meetings in workshop format, lasting two days. These meetings usually occur in early March, early June, and at our annual national conference in late October. The in-person sessions are held in major cities, such as Sydney, Brisbane, or the Gold Coast.Key Responsibilities:Prepare for and lead effective, well-structured board meetings that promote productive discussions and decision-making.Work collaboratively with the BDAA Board to guide organisational strategy, ensuring alignment with BDAA's mission and goals.Engage in the preparation and planning of board materials in advance of each meeting.Facilitate open, constructive dialogue among board members to foster a cohesive and focused governance team.Ideal Candidate:The successful candidate will have prior experience as a board chair, with a proven ability to lead and manage board meetings efficiently.
