A well-established and expanding consultancy is looking for a Building Control Surveyor to lead their new Building Safety Act (BSA) Principal Design Team in Birmingham.This is a fantastic opportunity for a forward-thinking professional to step into a leadership role, playing a pivotal part in shaping the future of Principal Design services within the Building Safety Act framework.The Building Control Surveyor's RoleAs the Building Control Surveyor, you will head up the newly formed BSA Principal Design team, overseeing high-profile projects and ensuring that all designs comply with the latest safety regulations. This role will involve managing a team of specialists and providing strategic advice to clients on how to meet their obligations under the Building Safety Act 2023.The successful Building Control Surveyor willLead and manage the BSA Principal Design team, ensuring compliance with Building Safety Act regulations.Oversee the delivery of Principal Design services, ensuring that all designs are compliant with safety standards and risk management procedures.Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing expert guidance on design and regulatory matters.Liaise with project teams to ensure effective communication and implementation of design safety measures.Develop internal policies and procedures to align with BSA requirements.Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in accordance with statutory requirements.To be successful in this role, you will needA qualification in Building Control, Architecture, or a related discipline.Extensive experience in Building Control or Principal Design roles.Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2023 and its implications.Experience leading teams and managing complex projects.A background in risk management and compliance within the built environment.Excellent communication and leadership skills.In Return 60,000 - 75,000 per annum (depending on experience).25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.Generous pension scheme.Performance-based bonus.Career progression opportunities within a rapidly growing division.Flexible working arrangements.Private healthcare and other company benefits.If you are a Building Control Surveyor considering your career opportunities, please contact Lucy Barlow at Brandon James on (phone number removed) for a confidential discussion.Ref:
