Building Cadet

With a strong pipeline of Multi-Res & Mixed Use Commercial projects, CGC is in search of a Building Cadet ready to excel in the industry with multiple projects valuing from $5 million - $55 million.About the Role:As the Building Cadet, you will engage in many opportunities to learn whilst bringing new initiatives to the table. The key to this position is growth whilst providing solutions regarding document control, contract administration, site engineering, and projects.Key Responsibilities of the Role:Subcontractor procurement and managing letting schedulesSupporting the Projects Team and/or Line Management with all day-to-day tasksPreparing and issuing trade package tender documentationInterpreting plans and specifications to understand the full scope of works for the projectsSub-contractor and consultant liaisonPreparing letting schedule in conjunction with the project managerProactively seeking opportunities to improve overall project performanceAssisting with Site Supervisor & Project Manager administrative rolesSetting up, monitoring, and maintaining drawing/document register including distributing all construction documentation and revisions as requiredAttending all site meetings and 'project control group' meetings as required; minute meetings as requiredEnsuring cost control procedures are maintainedPreparing monthly cost reports and forecasting of preliminaries and trade costsRecommending changes in design details to increase efficiency of constructionReviewing work procedures before work commences for quality complianceSetting up and maintaining quality control registerAbout You:Relevant tertiary qualifications in Building, Construction, or Engineering are favorableStrong communication and interpersonal skills for developing and maintaining client and subcontractor relationshipsAbility to work in a team environmentExcellent time management and prioritization skills to deliver timely client responsesAbility to work in a high-paced environmentTo express your interest, click the "Apply Now" button to submit your updated resume and cover letter.
