Talk to us about how this could work for you. Hours per fortnight Up to 73.5 hours - flexible options available. Duties Provide guidance, advice and training to business units on matters related to financial and budget management including budget reporting and accounting procedures. Assist with the development and management of DPAC's annual Budget and contribute to the development and deployment of financial models to inform that process. This duty includes undertaking reconciliations of budgets to ensure accurate reporting and monitoring of large portfolios and programs. Participate in the promotion of budget management knowledge within the department. Assist with the analysis and preparation of budget information into the Treasury Budget Information System, application of Treasury budget principles and Treasurers Instructions and ensure that the DPAC budget data set is both complete and up-to-date. Contribute to the development and review of DPAC's financial management information system. Assist with maintaining DPAC's financial policies and procedures and ensure all aspects of DPAC's financial and accounting operations are in accordance with government policy and guidelines. The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level. Appropriate Tertiary qualifications or substantial progress towards such a qualification and membership or eligibility for membership of a relevant professional body.
